Kirtlington Stars
Welcome to Kirtlington Stars U9 Football Club.
The aim of the team is to provide both boys and girls the opportunity to play football in a fun and friendly environment. We have entered a team in the Oxford Mail Boys League for the 2015/16 Season. The team is managed by Paul Elliott who is assisted by Vinnie Barrett, Simon Horwood, Dan Tweddle and myself. We currently have the maximum of 18 boys training so unfortunately are unable to take on any extra players.
We are delighted to have been able to secure sponsorship from Capita and this has enabled us to purchase a kit as well as training kit for each player.
During the winter months we are currently training on a Tuesday evening between 5.45 and 6.45 at Cooper School, Bicester. We play our home fixtures at the sports field on Saturday Mornings with a 10:30 kick off and we welcome any support.

Kirtlington Football Club
We have played seven games so far this season.
Our first game in Division 1 after last season’s promotion, was away to Brize Norton. After going 1-0 down the team fought back and we won 4-1. Goalscorers: Antony Booker 1, Jake East 3.
The second game was at home to Hailey Reserves. Just like the first game we went 1-0 down but the lads played fantastically and won 10-2. Goalscorers: Shane Probitts 3, Nathan Kelly 3, Toby Smith 1, Ross Grey 1, Jake East 1, Charlie Peagram 1.
Our third game was away to F.C Hollybush and yes, we went 1-0 down! We had four changes in the team with our left back (Darryl Collins) playing in goal. The lads turned it round and won 3-1 win. Goalscorers: Shane Probitts 2, Nathan Kelly 1.
The fourth game was away to North Leigh A, but this time we went 2-0 up and won 5-1. Goalscorers: Alex Metcalfe 2, Jake East 1, Toby Smith1, Shane Probitts 1.
We won the fifth game at home to Chadlington F.C. 7-2.
Goalscorers: Shane Probitts 4, Jake East 2, Ross Grey 1.
The sixth game at home to Brize Norton, saw us back to normal. We went 1-0 down, then the lads woke up and won 5-1. Goalscorers: Jake East 3, Ryan M-Ross 1, Chris Rea 1.
At home to Aston F.C., the seventh game was the most physical of the season but the lads stood up to all the kicking and won 6-1.
Goalscorers: Alex Metcalfe 2, Bruce Wilson 1, Ross Grey 1, Antony Booker 1, Shane Probitts 1.
At the latest game at the time of writing – away to Eynsham – we drew 2-2. We went 1-0 up, Shane Probitts scoring from a free kick which was delivered by Ross Grey just inside Eynsham’s half. Alex Metcalfe met the ball with a fantastic header which hit the crossbar and fell to Probitts who just side-footed it home. Eynsham scored 10 minutes before half time: a long ball pumped up the field, our centre half slipped and their forward finished it well. Just before half time we scored a great goal with good passes from mid-fielders onto our forwards and back to Nathan Kelly who scored the goal. In the second half Eynsham drew level with what I thought was a great finish. When I congratulated the player, he said it was a fluke and was meant to be a cross. As the game drew to its end Shane Probitts hit the post twice. As they say, one of those games!
Thank you to all those who have donated towards our new goals, and our kit sponsors ,B.Varney, Builders.
